DEMAHSA, (Derivados del Maiz de Honduras S.A.) is another one of our successful affiliates and is also the undisputed leader in  Honduran corn flour market.

Through DEMAHSA, we introduced the  MASECA brand to the Honduran market in 1987 and built our first manufacturing plant in Comayagua in 1988.  Due to  great demand, we set up a second manufacturing plant in the city of Choloma, Cortes in 1995-1996.

In 1999, both plants merged into a  single facility in order to establish a more efficient production system.

Today,  this high-level manufacturing  plant in Cortes is regarded as the most modern plant in Latin America with a production capacity of more than 11,000 metric tons per month, thus meeting the demand on  the national market.

In addition to the Maseca brand, DEMAHSA offers our customers and consumers the Minsa, Tortimasa and Masa Rica brands in corn flour, and the Maya  brand in corn and wheat packaged tortillas, which seek to satisfy consumers'  preferences and tastes, while always maintaining  the highest quality.

With DEMAHSA we have operated in  Honduras for more than 25 years, with a nationwide presence  and generating more than 300 direct  jobs and over than 6,000 indirect jobs thus contributing to the country's development.

Its products enjoy  full acceptance by the people, who  think of  its Maseca brand  as a national brand, of unsurpassable quality.
