CORPORATE OFFICERS

Juan Antonio Quiroga García, 51

Chief Administrative and Internal Auditing Officer Mr. Quiroga joined GRUMA in 1973 and served as Vice President of Administration of Gruma Corporation from 1988 to 1998. In 1999, he became Chief Administrative and Internal Auditing Officer. Mr. Quiroga is a C.P.A. He received his B.A. in Accounting from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.

Manuel de Jesús Rubio Portilla, 73

Chief Technology Officer Since Mr. Rubio joined GRUMA in 1965 as its Chief Technology Officer, he has developed 40 patents for GRUMA's processes as well as machinery for the corn flour and tortilla industry. He holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering. He also holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad de Oriente de Santiago of Cuba.

Salvador Vargas Guajardo, 47

General Counsel Mr. Vargas joined GRUMA in 1996 as General Counsel. He earned a Ph.D. in Commercial Law from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, Spain, Master of Laws (LLM) degrees in Corporate and International Law from the University of Illinois, and a Master in Comparative Law (MCL) from New York University. ß

Eugenio Vargas Chávez, 50

Chief Human Resources Officer Mr. Vargas joined GRUMA in 1999 as Chief Human Resources Officer. He holds a B.A. in Industrial Relations from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico.

Leonel Garza Ramírez, 50

Chief Procurement Officer Mr. Garza joined GRUMA in 1975 as Manager of Quality and Corn Procurement. He left the company in 1981 and, upon rejoining in 1991, was appointed vice president of Corn Procurement. In 1999, he was appointed to his present position. He holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and a Masters degree in Food Microentomology from the University of Florida.


OPERATING OFFICERS

Joaquín Rubio Lamas, 40

Chief Operating Officer of Grupo Industrial Maseca, S.A. de C.V. (GIMSA) Mr. Rubio joined GRUMA in 1982 and, during these 18 years, has held several executive positions within the company, including Chief Executive Officer of Electra Foods Machinery from 1990 to 1997 and Chief Executive Officer of Azteca Milling Co. In 1997, Mr. Rubio was appointed Chief Operating Officer of GIMSA. He holds a B.A. in Administration from the Universidad Regiomontana.

Enrique Orjuela, 51

Chief Operating Officer of Monaca Mr. Orjuela joined GRUMA in 1999 as Chief Operating Officer of Monaca in Venezuela. He holds a B.A. in Administration from the Universidad de Bogotá and an M.B.A., emphasis in Marketing, from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Daniel E. Lynn, 44

Chief Operating Officer of Azteca Milling, L.P. Mr. Lynn joined GRUMA in 1999 as President of Azteca Milling, L.P. He holds a B.A. in Labor Relations and an M.B.A. from Cornell University in New York.

Rafael Ángel Gárate Muñoz, 44

Chief Operating Officer of Molinera de México, S.A. de C.V. Mr. Gárate joined GRUMA in January 2000 as Chief Operating Officer of Molinera de México, S.A. de C.V. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Mexico.

Roberto González Alcalá, 36

Chief Operating Officer of Gruma Centro América Mr. González joined GRUMA in 1995 as President of the Tortilla Division in Costa Rica. In 1998, he was promoted to President of the Corn Flour Division in Central America and in 1999 was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Gruma Centro América. He holds a B.A. from the Universidad Nacional de México.

Francisco Albisua Gorostizaga, 49

Chief Operating Officer of Productos y Distribuidora Azteca, S.A. de C.V. Mr. Albisua joined GRUMA in January 2000. He holds a B.A. in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de México and also an M.B.A. from Stirling University in Edinburgh, U.K.
